I have a 93 formula automatic.

I was wondering which chip you guy would suggest running in the car?
I had a hypertech a long time ago and i liked it.
But since there are others out there now (i.e. jet, motorvation, superchips)
i was wondering if you guys thought one was better than the other.

We have had alot of success with out chips. I've been able to do alot of things the factory failed on... Like fixing that factory 93 LT1 surge.

 

yeah, Brian/Al are great with the speed density cars, cant go wrong with those guys.....93 surge?, please, go on

 

I highly recomend Alvin, hes the one that I will tune my 93 after Long Tubes

 

I forgot all about you guys, Brian tuned my 95 when it was supercharged in las vegas. bout 2 years ago.

How do you eliminate the chip on the 93.

And yes please elaborate on the surge probs you mentioned.

I use a Fastchip,, don't race it so coudn't tell you any numbers. Car runs good and I like the feel.

On that 93 surge thing I believe mine is my tourque converter but I too am waiting to see how ROOSTER93V8 fixed his 93 surge????

I thought the surge thing was in many of the years for many different problems but please share.

The had a TSB about it and alot of guys note some sort of part throttle inconsistancy. like as you sweep threw the pedal it jsut all of a sudden picks up.. kinda hard to explain. I've been able to get around it with VE tables and re-working the spark tables. Check our testimonials there are pleny of people that note it in the 93's. My 93 didn't have it but I've known plenty of others that have.

 

Well since brian treated me right before i decided to go with the pcmforless chip.

I am gona do a before and after dyno run on my dynapack dyno.

The car is almost bone stock so i don't expect to see much gains.

But stay tuned i should have the dyno results posted up in about a week.

Alvin's the man with the 93's. Nuff said.

 

Let me know when you get the chip. you shoudl feel quite a difference around town and at wide open. Let me know when you dyno it, that way I can see if we need to tweak it further.
