Ok my car has 140k on it now and run's good. But the mileage is high and im looking to replace my engine with something fresh!

My #1 priority is reliability! All i have is bolt on's and a 75 wet shot.

Check out this engine it has a great warrenty what do you think?

The engine in the pic is not an LT1. Its a SBC.

I'm sure the pic is for reference only - 327 block, 374 heads, vin P, gen II, etc. Bugs me that they call it an LT-1 with the hyphen, but it still sounds like an LT1 to me .

If I was buying a shortblock I would go with Golen. You can get a forged 383 for about $3000 last time I checked.

Golen or someone else. Theres only about 15 shops to choose from.

Goto ls1tech and start calling vendors on their right hand toolbar. Pretty much all LS shops built LT's before LS motors came out, so you should be able to get 10,12 quotes by looking online and calling.

140k

Is your car running bad that you wany to rebuild, my ws6 has 171k and still walks c6s not z06s tho all bolt on. Just save your money for something better along the way, in my opinion if your car is running strong or i dont know why to rebuild, unless you have a lot of times on your hands.
