I'm getting a check engine light, when my fans come on. The light goes off and on with the fans. Also i don't have cruise anymore. Does anyone know what could be causing this??????

The fans come on when the SES does. It's made to do that. You need a scan to see what the code is. One that frequently comes and goes is for the EGR.

 

its a 95 z28, it comes on and off, with the fans, If is the egr that would explain why it kick on and off. also I don't have cruise does anyone know why i lost the cruise???

 

Go to Autozone and get the car scanned. It's free.

 

Or find someone with a real scanner and see what it is. The auto zone scanner will help you find the problem.

 

Autozone can't scan a '95 because it's OBDI with an OBDII connector. They only scan OBDII cars, unless you're fortunate enough to have an Autozone where someone has taken it upon themeselves get the appropriate scan tool and cable.
