When we short the pins A&B to display codes all that happens is when the ign sw is turned, Switch on engine off. the fans kick in high speed and the MIL light never flashes.
With the engine running the Check engine light is on.

This is after we put in 224/230 Cam, heads, headers, ect. We took out the EGR valve and covered the intake with the plate, took out air pump.

This is a 94.
Anyone know why no codes are displayed, not even a blink from the MIL

 

That method only works on 93 and under cars. You'll have to get a cable, laptop, software to check your codes or perhaps a shop in your area will do it (for a fee), and im sure the stealership would love to do it.

 

You can't check the codes that way on a 94. You have to use a scanner. Mine is the same way.

Yeah, I thought they did too, considering you can fine out how to do it for the 94 and newer cars everywhere online, lol.
