GM Dealer quoted me 630.xx list (or something close)...they offered to match GMPARTSDIRECT Price; which I believe was 420.xx 'ish.

My local dealer didn't have one in stock, so I've ended up going through Summit for 389.95. Summit I've found has pretty damn good customer service; however nothing beats being able to deal with someone in person (i.e. dealer, etc).

You might try the Supporting Vendors on this site; see what they are asking, and if they'll match prices.

BTW: all these prices were for a non-vented opti. I've noticed sometimes the prices fluctuate pretty heavily between the non-vented and vented.

Dealing with a "Dealer" is no better than dealing with a hooker. You're gonna get screwed and theres not going to be any discounts.

As for GM Parts Direct, always make sure you consider the total price inlcuding S&H because that is where they nail ya. JMHO

You must have ****y local owners.

The dealership in my area frequently will sell at wholesale, or at their cost.

Summit lists the Optispark II (Vented) for 309.95, NOT the optispark I. The optispark I is 389.95. This is the non-vented model. The one you will need if you havn't converted your 94 yellow TA is the Optispark I part# ACF-10457702.

Make sure you order the correct model.

That JEGS model looks similar to the Summit brand model.

I thought you were asking specifically about GM optis?

If you want just a replacement opti, there's lots 'n lots of generic cheap'o alternatives...but I wouldn't recommend them. I'm not sure who makes the JEGS or Summit brands. Maybe someone will chime in.
