Chasing Electrical demons!!

OK. I have been chasing an electrical problem for some time now and I still can't seem to find the problem. The battery reads 12.5 across the posts. When the engine is running the alternator shows right at 14 as does the battery. With the key off, the battery block - where all the wires hook up - shows the same 12.5 as the battery. However by the time the main red wire that feeds the ignition switch goes through the firewall the best I can get is 11.7. According to Shoebox's schematics this wire makes no stops or splits before going through the firewall. If I turn the key on and check the fuse box on the pcm fuse - that the pcm reads - I get 10.4. So it appears I am dropping voltage heading into the ignition switch and even more coming out of it. I know that the ignition switches are prone to this but where is the drop coming from before the switch???
As a result of this I have lower than necessary readings other places; like the pink wire on the MAF - 11.4 . Any ideas???
Would it help if I ran a wire from the battery block and tapped into the red wire of the ignition switch to see what readings I get???
This problem is affecting my whole system to some degree. I have two guages and both of them seldom read above 11.5 - 12 when driving!

Sounds like contact resistance is causing the voltage drop you are seeing. Did you try cleaning all the connectors on the terminal block? Take it apart and hit the contacts with a wire brush, get em' nice and shiny. As well check all the crimp connectors and battery connector and make sure that there isn't any crud. If that doesn't work, check your grounds, the one from the neg battery terminal and the one's that connect to the block next to the coil.

Just a guess

Done all of that. In fact I went to a Stereo store and bought a gold-plated block and replace the stock one so all the contacts are solid. I also have cleaned and redid all the grounds at least 4 or 5 times in this process. Thanks
