Changing radiator, green coolant? Few questions.
Hey all, been awhile since i posted here. My radiator in my 1994 trans Am spung a leak. I have the new radiator and i have a few questions.
1) For some reason, the car had green coolant (I did not put it in, previous owner did) rather then orange dexcool, did the 94's come with green coolant or dexcool and does it effect cooling much between the 2?
2) When i switch the radiator and also switch to dexcool (if it is better for this year) how do i flush the green coolant from the block? Any good techniques for this.
3) For those of you who remeber me, i am still having my issue with low end sputter. For those of you who do not remember, in 1st gear (low rpm) and low rpm in any gear roughly 1500 the car sputters until it reaches a higher RPM, it feels like its trying to swallow a valve or something, feels like its sucking in air from somewhere, cant explain it, anyone have this problem? If i floor it at 1500 rpm in 1st, it will sputter until around 2000+ or so, and then spin the tires, this has been going on for awhile, anyone think it needs a valve job, thats what people tell me.

94s had the green stuff. No need to switch, IMO, plus it will save you from having to completely purge the green coolant.
You don't need a valve job. Sounds like an ignition problem. Plugs, wires, coil, ICM, opti are suspects. A check of the fuel pressure would not hurt, either.

Coil
Plugs
Plug Wires
intake (stock to ASM)
intake elbow
LT4 KM
Distributor
Battery
Swaped injectors with another lt1 trans am
computer read out says everything is fine
