Changing to a higher stat give me better gas mileage?

i have a 160 degree stat in my z28, if i go up to a 180, would that give me better gas mileage? if it doesnt make that much of a diffrence i wont change it, but if it does ill take it out for the new one

that is the idea, but I don't know if it would make any difference. I think, you would also set the fan temp back to the factory setting to see any changes. If memory serves me correct, I lost 1 to 2 mpg, when I set the fans to come on at 210.

I have not noticed any difference in gas mileage with either thermostat.
