Changed OPTI, still have problems
Hey guys. Well, after changing the opti and the pass. side lifter bank, my car runs better, but not 100%. The lifter tick is gone, the bottom end miss and stumble (more so when hot) is gone, and part throttle responce is much better. HOWEVER, my top end miss (just over 5k) is still there sometimes, less so with premium gas. So, I think I am getting knock retard. Is it possible for knock retard to just 'cause a sharp miss at RPM like that, then keep reving? Thanks.
Another thing, if I dissable the knock sensor via programming, if I have a burnt wire going to it or a faulty knock sensor, will it still give me problems, or is it ignored once dissabled by the computer? Thanks guys.
