Re: Ceramic Coated or Painted

Ceramic coating is a better way to go than painting, even though I have heard of issues with Pacesetters ceramic coating. My ceramic coated Edelbrocks that I recently removed still look good, but my friend's painted Edelbrocks look terrible. The paint bakes off rather quickly and then they get the rusty appearance which doesn't look good IMO. You can always have them Jet Hot coated for $200. That finish is amazing and it cleans brilliantly with soap and water.

I got the painted ones and I regret it. Get the ceramic ones....or you could get the painted ones and have a local shop coat them for you so you will have piece of mind over the coated pacesetter's.

I would still do the ceramic coating for the reasons mentioned above as well as they will have a higher resale value and they will looks better then painted headers in my opinion.

I have used PO20 with great results. This is truly the high temp paint you can get.

Re: Ceramic Coated or Painted

I have ceramic coated Jethots and like them, would never go back to a painted header. If I ever replace these, I will go to a stainless header (probably Kooks).
