CC502 with ported heads....

I've read all these posts about people putting a CC502 in a non-ported head car and making good numbers.... but I want to put it in a car with mildly ported heads. These heads will have stock valves and will flow around 245-250 with where this cam will see its lift. So let me break down what I wanna do and if you think its a good idea you tell me.... if i'm an idiot.... you tell me. LOL So...! I want to do some stock ported heads by lloyd elliot. Just a port job on the heads and reuse the valves. I have a friend that cam make my stock TB flow like crazy. CAI, new SVO 24# injectors, pace setter long tubes and cats y pipe with a hooker aerochamber exhaust. All the odds and ends. Free mods and good tune. I dont want a cam even similar to the 306. I want to be super emissions friendly and keep the revs to about 5900 or 6k at the most. So what do you think?

It will run low 12s and be fun to drive. Don't get 24lb svo injectors. Get 30 lb'ers 24 lb injectors will be maxed out on that combo. Get a good tune.

Since your goals are somewhat unique, I highly recommend you talk to a custom cam grinder.
I just had a custom cam done that at first glance the .050's look alot like a CC503, the difference is in the lobes. I've run a couple of customs & it's the best money I spend on a build....

I was thinking of going the custom cam route. I really dont want a radical or heavy loping cam. I want a tame machine that can hit low 12s and feel like there are no mods done to the car. I know its a hard combo to make work but I got the time for it and I figure it will be ok to drive around. When I want to .... i'll hit it with a 100 shot.

It can be done. Just do some more research and or give Lloyd a call. I'm sure he can come up with a variation of his LE1 package that will be just what your looking for.
