Based on the substantial amount of information you've provided in this post and in your profile, I think you should go with the obvious choice.

Let us know how it works out.

Its nothing against you, its just posts like this in general. If you are new to the site welcome. If you would like to have quality information then you need to provide what your car is, what year, M6 or A4, daily driver or strip car. Without this information many threads just get off track and the person never gets a good response.

I would do half 306 and half 847. Good luck tuning.

BTW, welcome. I live in Wilmington.

If your just wanting a Cam, just install a LT4 hotcam. Just replace your springs, and Gaskets.

Listen, do you go to a dealership and ask "Whats the best car?" and go buy that one? Hell no, you research. There are probably 50+ threads on the topic of GM847 vs CC306 alone. Not to mention those two vs LE2 cam versions.

Not only do you research but you also must have some kind of criteria depending on your needs, wants and goals are. Best cam for shifting under 6000rpm? Best cam for idle and drivibilty? Best cam for stock heads? Best cam for aftermarket heads? Best cam for drag racing? Best cam for dyno numbers? Best cam for ease on valvetrain? Best cam for heavy B-Body's? Best cam for top end? Best cam with nitrous? Best cam, Best cam, Best cam.

Tossing out a terribly generalized question like which is better this or that without some kind of qualifying factors is begging for comments like you received. Turns out after you did some research like you should have to begin with you found what you were looking for.

You also need to let us know what you have done to your ride, plan to do, want to do, what you actually have, etc.

No one is trying to be an a-hole.

Although welcome to the site, I think you've officially been broken in

Best choice anyways... makes the most power and TQ and is the smallest.

CC306 is still not a bad choice if you found a good deal on one.

A local kid just made 398RWHP with stock short block and a set of used TEA ported LT1 heads through a T56 and a 12-Bolt with a Spool.

Problem is the 847 and 306 don't make the TQ numbers.

The CC306 isn't as short on torque as everybody thinks. My torque curve is identical to a friends LE setup.
