CC306 & 1.7 CC roller rockers

Quick question. Does anyone know where to get the new CC 1.7 roller rockers for the LT1? Will the CC306 & 1.7 CC roller rockers work in a stock LT1, IE: lift issues ? If memory serves me right the CC306 with 1.6 RR produces .577 lift, so 1.7 RR produce .597 ???

Somebody put some logic to this

You can get them here.

Take the lift #'s you've got with 1.6's (544/576), divide each by 1.6, then multiply that result by 1.7 for each and that will give you the lift with 1.7's.

1.7's with that cam sounds like overkill to me, but whatever floats your boat. Just make sure you don't skimp on valve springs. You're gonna need some good ones.

If your still running stock pistons & valves you'll have MILES of piston to valve clearence. You'll run into retainer to valve guide clearance problems way before piston to valve.

I too am considering switching to the 306 cam or adding 1.7 RR's to my HOT CAM setup but I don't think that I would do both if I were you.

The lift numbers would be 578/612

I've also heard that comp started to make an LT1 specific 1.7 rocker. Have yet to see it though. That link is for the Scorpion rockers, which I do have a set of. VERY nice piece of work.

You'd definatly need to get your head machined for bigger springs to allow for 600+ lift on the exhaust side. I don't think they make them for the stock spring diameter.

I wonder if you could run a 1.6 on the exhaust and and the 1.7s on the intake so you could keep it under .600 I have the cc306 and was wondering to buy 1.6s or 1.7s...
