CC305 sound files and lope question

Ok pretty much decided to get a cc 305 for the 96 vert. The hotcam has 112lsa and think not as good for nitrous and the 305 has 114 and also would think the 305 would lope a bit less than the hotcam. I would still like to hear what a 305 sounds like in a car. Also is this thing really pretty mellow. Its in the car I bought the wife but I drive it to.Will it be perfectly streetable without tuning.
I have 2800 stall already and 1.6 comp pro mags to go with it.Have some springs too I can use.The 306 sounds too wild for this car and the 304 sounds too mellow. The xe grinds supposedly recommend the comp r lifters and I am not getting those. So on a scale of one to 10 with 10 being super streetable how is the 305.

The cc305 is a very streetable cam. I defiently would have it tuned though, especially if your planning on shooting nitrous. I had PCM4less do mine and it runs great and didn't cost much at all for a mail order tune. I ran the cam in my car for a whole year with the stock stall, but now have a 3400. Your 2800 stall should be fine with it. I have Jet Hot Long tubes and hooker catback without cats and it sounds great at WOT, sorry I don't have a sound clip though. At 850 idle it has a very samll lope which is not that noticable. I now wish I would have gone bigger, but it is perfect on the street.

Re: CC305 sound files and lope question

I have the CC305 also with basically a stock exhaust up until recently and it was a great sound. Now when we opened up the exhaust and started it with long tubes its alot less lopey but still noticable and the sound only got better. However using the CC305 defeinetly get a tune of some kind wether it be mail order or a shop dyno tune. Mine ran fine with stock tune but was definatlly leaving power on the table. PCM4less seems to be the popular choice but look around youj may find a shop locally with a dyno tune and really wake up the numbers, but be prepaired to shell out a little more cash for the DYNO tune, but in all it would be worth the percformance.

Re: CC305 sound files and lope question

I think the 305 is a good choice to keep the wife happy. I have the hot cam in my '94 and it is only slightly lopey at idle but surges at very low rpm in 1st and 2nd. I also have pcmforless tune and SLP headers.
I think the 114 lobe separation should reduce the surge and make the wife happier and all us married guys know we want to keep them happy!
We have two '94 z-28 m6 cars and I plan tom put a 304 in hers for my next project. Good luck with your project.
