how does this cam idle? could you hear it loping through shorty headers,cats and a queit muffler?. does it run fine with stock tuning? where does it make peak tq at?

my cc305 idles pretty well, you will enjoy the sound. my peaked out at 6000 or so. i am not sure how it will react with stock tuning though.. but why would you want this cam with quite exhaust? for this cam to do its duty, you need to open that exhaust and get a tune.

 

Idles fine... Slight lope to it.. I have a 114 LSA so only trained ears can tell theres a cam there.
I wouldnt run stock tuning on it. I raised my idle up 200 rpms.
Looking at my dyno graph it looks like i hit peak torque at 3500 rpms but its pretty much a flat line up top between 3500 and 4200 rpms. Max hp is at 5600 rpms and only drops a few horses all the way to 6300..

How is this cam for overall driveability? My Z is my daily driver, but I want high to mid 12's, so I was considering this cam. Does it work well with the stock converter?

 

Mines a daily driver and I love it. Hardly any lope.My pcm was redone by Ed Wright though.

Well worth it.....

 

mine is a daily driver as well and you can tell i have a cam in mine, it sounds REAL healthy.. love the noise
