Cat question

Cat question

I need to keep the cat but i just ordered mac midlengths and y pipe both sterling silver coated from jet hot... Am i going to be able to put the cat after the y pipe or would this f#$@ the flow up, Do i have to get it welded into the y-pipe and instead of f#$@ing flow, f$%@ the coating up? 1994 z28

I guess you could weld it in, but if you were worried about emissions, why didn't you just get the MAC Y-pipe that already comes with high-flow cats? Good luck to you buddy..

You should check with state law, because some of them have a law about relocating the cat.

When looking around, all i was able to find for the mac y-pipe with cats was for 96-97...

BUT

The description of the headers and y pipe on one site lists them as: "MAC True Fit® Header system is made of 1 5/8" 16ga. tubing, comes complete with a 2˝" Y-pipe and 3" collector, Also includes all necessary hardware and starter tube for catalytic."

wouldnt that imply the starter tube is after the y-pipe?

and yes, as far as im aware, in my area it is illegal to move cats, but ive never had them put the car on a lift.
