Which Cat to get??

I am in the process of installing MAC headers on my 94 firehawk. I need to buy a new Cat because the stock one wont work with the Mac Y-Pipe. What do you guys reccommend to get??? I want one that will have high-flow and give me a few extra ponies....Any suggestions?

they had a comparison of some cats... FLP's cats and Car sound cats did really well. They didnt have catco in the test but i think those would do good to.

Thats a good question... They are 1month old exactly. BUT the guy at the muffler shop that installed them was a damn moron and put them in a very bad position and one of them is scraped up very badly and the other one has a little part that fell off and he fixed it by welding it. On the outside they look like **** but they function very nicely.

Would I be able to getaway with just the shell of a cat and not guts? or would this screw up the performance due to backpressure?

ur good man, ive heard the back pressure reduction can reduce performance but ive talked to allot of people with gutted, straight pipes and cut offs who say theres no problems. Your OBDI too so no worries about throwing an SES.

I am interested in one of those cats aswell. I am in the process of putting a straight pipe through my factory cat, but i would like to have a backup cat if something goes wrong or i need to go threw emision testing.

When I bought my headers and cat back, I also bought a CatCo 3". It's been sitting in the corner for a couple of years due to my mechanic refusing to install it and instead shoving a 3" pipe through the original cat.

Anybody want it?

DrivingZiggy, so it's a cat with a pipe right through it? How much you want for it?

The one with the pipe is actually welded to my Y-pipe and installed. The one that's for sale is an actual functioning high-flow cat. Still interested?

I'm sure it will. It's 3", has a big ol' arrow on it showing which way to flow. The numbers that I can find on it are: NAT/CA D280-2 9000. All you have to do is weld it on. I was going to use it with my set up: SLP headers/Y-pipe, which is basically the same as the Mac.

So, where the heck is Grand Island?
