cat back install -please come in!!!

Hey guys, I just ordered a Hooker cat back for my 94 z28 m6.
Will I need a reciprocating saw to remove the old system?
Any advice is appreciated, I will be doing this job alone.
So any input is greatly appreciated.

In addition, I was considering gutting my cat. What is involved in doing this and will it cause the ses light to come on?
My only mods is a k an n fipk so far.

Id try to have one, you could do it without, but it would be difficult, unless you get an exhaust cutter tool from autozone.
Spray a crapload of PBblaster on the bolts connecting the catback to the cat, Mine wouldnt move, i had to drill them out.

I dont have any experience with gutting the cat, but it shouldnt turn the light on, theres no sensors in or after the cat so youre good there.

A reciprocating saw works like a charm. If you can't get your hands on one, a hacksaw would do the job for a relatively low cost----but it would be time consuming to accomplish the same task. I always use my Milwaukee sawzall.-----hope you can get your hands on one.

when i did mine, i rented a pipe cutter from checker auto. cutting it was a lot easier than trying to wrestle the I-pipe out from under the car.
