Car's running weak. Suggestions?

My car is really starting to irk me. It's a 93 A-4 car, mostly stock (CAI, TB foil, TB bypass, 160 stat, and a Jet stage2 chip), and it's running SLOW SLOW SLOW.

Symptoms: An almost imperceptable miss at idle, and a VERY strong gas smell from the pipes. Slow times at the track. I changed the plugs about 6k miles ago, and the miss was there even before that. It's not throwing any codes at all.

Track times, 2 different days, 75 degrees, almost no humidity both days, over probably 20 runs.

1/4 mile: CONSISTENT 14.4 at 96.5mph, 2.25 second short times.
BEST time was a 14.386 at 97 with 2.185 in the 60 foot.

I did get my opti wet once last winter, and the car ran like hell for about 3 days (horrible miss at 2200 RPM...bad enough to make it undrivable), but then magically "repaired itself", presumably when it dried out.

Things I'm looking at trying:
1. There's a small tear in my air intake elbow, but it looks like it's sealing anyway. I'll replace that with the LT-4 part, as they're cheap

2. Maybe a new coil/coil wire?

3. Pulling that JET chip out. I'm starting to think it's a piece of crap.

4. biting the bullet and going in after the opti.

Anyone think of anything I may be missing, or have any ideas at all? Help me out guys...I got spanked by a bone stock WRX on the strip, and that just stings.

The car's at about 45k miles or so, and has the original plug wires/coil/opti, and the original O2 sensor.
