carburated motor in 94 firebird

Does anyone have experience putting a carburated motor in a 94 fody. Motor sits pretty far back, looks like I will be cutting some area out of the fresh air system, for heater, to make room for distributor. Carburator also sits right close to back of hood. Any ideas or go ahead and cut.

There is not much to do but cut, but make sure and take your time a make a nice clean cut so that it dose not look like crap, but try a dry fit to see how much and how far you are going to have to cut. Remmber when cuting to watch for wires, and components. Also remmber that when you cut you will no longer have any kind of air. I you have the time you can make a set of motor mounts that are more forward, move cross member up and a little longer drive shaft.
