carb style intake manifolds? advantage and where to purchase?

hey im trying to build a strong N/A setup with a cam that's gonna be starving for air b/c of stock displacement. i see a lot of the high power guys using carbeurated style intakes on their fuel injected motors. how is this an advantage? who makes these items? can someone fill me in on this please

I've seen them in Jegs. They are made by GMPP. Part #809-24502592 for the 4 barrel one. They are $259.99.

cool thanks for the pn and reference. but where do the carb style intake manifolds outperform a standard ported intake manifold? what do you use as an air filter a normal sbc carbeurator air filter?
