carb or computer?
carb or computer?
i bought an lt1 but it has no intake, computer or harness. I plan on going .30 over 355 and somewhere down the road stroking it to 383. I want it to have over or around 400 rwhp. Would my best bet price wise and performance wise be to go with a carb set up or trying to find a lt1 efi set up on ebay or something?
I see this being a very long discussion, youll get about 50/50 on your replies.
But no matter what anyone says. Forget cost, EFI will ALWAYS be more efficient and make more power all things equal. Meaning you get a person that CAN tune an FI setup, even the best carb tuner will not get more power out of it, assuming you put as much time/money/energy into both.
Cost is a whole nuther issue, and is the main reason a lot of people will argue for carb, they put the efficiency factor aside, and just say its expensive and hard to tune.
