It runs fine when its cold. Its not getting spark. I got new spark plug wires and I'm gonna rebuild the opti. The contacts were all corroded on the coil and wire. The coil is sparking but the car wont start on nice days.

cold cold weather lengthens battery life significantly ... always start with the easiest most obvious thing... have the battery tested before you go rebuilding an opti

A worn bearing can also cause instability of the shutter wheel and cause misfires. The optical section can fail on it's own from heat or just because it wants to die (as electronics can do).For people already with the vented opti, IMO the best and most cost effective choice is replace with new. Those with non vented have a little harder choice because of the higher cost of the new unit.
