car ran perfectly before i put it away for the winter. i took off my roller rockers thinking that i was going to go 1.6 but never got the chance. i go back maybe january put them back on.. f' that up by not knowing how to set zero lash, and f' up some rods. now i have got new rods, and have figured out how to set zero lash, go back today and try to start her... no luck. it will turn over fine and will come close to starting, but wont start. i have officially run out of ideas and cannot find anything on the board that relates directly to my problem. any help would be greatly appreciated. also wut i did for setting zero lash is tighten down finger tight and try to start is this correct (i dont wanna f' up again).

 

Did you make sure the valve you were working on was on the base circle?

 

if you mean by putting it at tdc then no. i am very new to the internals of the engine so if you could explain that would help a lot.
