I have a 95 z28 and it's not wanting to downshift when i punch it?? i was lookin at the tv linkage cable thing, and like it doesnt go in like it use to?? how can i fix this????

 

The trans on 94 up F-bodys is electroinic shift, there is no TV cable, shifts are controlled by the PCM

is you check engine/service engine soon light on?

 

ok.......so since the car wont downshift? what is keepin it from downshifting??is there any kinda of electronic shift switch or sensor?? can anyone helP?thanx

 

could be your TPS. I've had this problem twice one time it was the TPS and other time was IAC valve. Is your engine idling fast?

 

when it is idling fast, what does that indicate? mine idles fast and has this same transmission non-downshifting problem.

 

Makaveli, I've had to change TPS twice and both times they were bad the engine idled fast and the transmission wouldn't downshift. Same way with the IAC valve. I would suggest getting another TPS. And also try cleaning IAC valve.
