Angry Car turned off on me!!

Yesterday i noticed that whenever i was cruising at around 30mph my car would make a noise like it was about to turn off but didnt(almost like vrooom... vroom.... ....vroom) if that makes sense. And today i was driving again at around 30mph and it turned off on me just out of the blue. What could have caused this?

if its a manual it CAN be your EGR if you were at a higher geardrivin so slow.Never had an automatic shut off on me from a roll due to EGR though,i think a lil better description would help us diagnose it.Does it ever stumble ,u know shiet like that

If you are losing power to the dash gauges and radio, it is probably the ignition switch or loose connection to it.

Its an a4 and thats the best i can describe it becuase it was a complete surprise. I wasnt losing power to anything, everything was working fine except for the transmission(its slipping) but besides that everything was good and well of course that noise that i was hearing the day before. I know this isnt enough info for a accurate diagnose but i was hoping just by luck this had happend to someone else
