My car is missing really bad down low. It's fine past half throttle, and i have everything up top. But cruising between 2 and 3000 at constant throttle it'll miss really bad then take off and run fine, then miss really bad, then take off. What the hell is wrong? Any help would be great. I replaced the tps (not the problem) and changed the plugs (not the problem) Thanks again. I think i'm gonna try wires now and see what happens.

 

Getting any check engine light at all? Sounds a lot like an oxygen sensor problem.

 

check the MAP sensor..... If you search, ie " map sensor" you will see some threads with a familiar prob...

 

I'll check that. thanks. the ses light does come on but only when it runs fine. When it begins to miss the light then goes off. go figure.

 

It's the O2 sensors.

I had the same thing 2 months ago.

When the SES light comes on, the PCM goes into open loop, ignoring the O2 sensors, which is why it runs fine...then when it goes back to closed loop, it runs like an *** sandwich.

 

well i guess i'll give that a shot then. hopefully it works. any other ideas if it doesn't?
