Ok. I have been having problems with the car lately. The car car will start, but takes exessive cranking to get it going. Then it will idle very rough and cut off sometimes. Then if I get it going and driving it will sputter very badly and not go anywhere. But once it shifts out of 1st gear and rolling, it drives just fine. And I won't have any problem out of it. But once at a red light I can tell it's not idleling right. But it still drives fine. Optispark has recently been replaced. As have plugs and wires. Any ideas what it may be?

 

Anyone ever looked at the fuel pressure?

 

That sounds like similar symptoms I had when the fuel filter was clogged. I also had the fuel system cleaned at the same time as the filter was replaced, so that may have had a little to do with it as well. Mostly the filter though, as it ran well afterwards.

 

no i have not checked fuel pressure, i do smell gas when i start it. but i will check filter and update. thanks
