I posted a few days ago about my ignition getting stuck sometimes and now I have some more info on this problem I am having. I have noticed that now if it does get stuck, it is only on a hot start, never on cold starts. Also, occasionaly I cannot start my car on hot starts either. Cold starts are perfect. Occasionally on a hot start though, my motor wont even turn over. It acts like your car does when you have a dead battery, nothing happens except I hear the fuel pump and my guage lights and radio come on, but starter doesn't turn or anything. What could be doing this? Again, this only happens on hot starts, other than that it is fine. I have no other problems with the car, good battery voltage and all that. Please help. Thanks

mine starts great on cold starts but after is warm it might turn over for 5 seconds, shut it off, turn over for 5 seconds, shut it off, and then try again........start fine. WTF!! please help us

 

After I had the intake oil leak fixed(gasket),my starting problems went away.My02

 

well good then, i have a oil leak at the waterpump and intake that are both getting fixed this coming week.....so it should be starting right up after that. thanks

 

Possibly the starter is failing when it is hot. You might check connections at the starter, too.
