Car started this morning...now wont

so, we were getting my car out of the garage this morning to wash it since its a nice day out, and i got my new tune, etc. for my car.

So, back it out, see a small leak from my tranny cooler....okay, no bigger.

So, get that fixed, let it sit and run and idle for 5 or so minutes since i just wrapped everything with exhaust wrap to let the impurities out. Realize that i forgot to shut my stinkin bleeder valve for my coolant (just refilled it last night). So, i had coolant sprayin everywhere....kinda pissed me off.

So, shut the car off, fixed that, and tightened a clamp that was loose on the water pump.

Now, the car wont start

It will crank, but not turn over. Its been sitting about 4 hours, and still wont start, not sure how long it takes for an opti to dry out though?

Was wondering what else your input might be.

Also, i can hear the pump priming

Wet opti's are bad. The time to dry out would depend on the amount that got in there and what your weather there is like. If its dry and 100 degrees it will be faster.

I was gonna post that you should let the opti dry some more, but you already knew that. Since coil is not working id say wire, or coil, but you knew that

yeah, i let the camaro set for 10+ hrs, and it still cranks, but doesnt fire.

So, im guessing opti is fine, but no spark.

Coil isn't sparking, think i found my culprit ( i hope)

alright guys, got the coil tested, and ICM tested, both are good.

PCM is good.

New ignition fuse

i tried starting it, and it would sputter, and die.

I think its just a matter of letting that danged opti-crap dry out more.....

Unless anybody else has ideas?

Sounds like opti... If you're a '94, you're non-vented. Keep that sucker dry!

well, it has the MSD cap/rotor on it, which has a couple vent spots on it. I had them closed with some vacuum caps, so, i just removed them about 5 minutes ago. Hoepfully that'll help it dry out some

well, just tried checking the ICM, etc.

The two outside ones are both getting 10v DC, the two inside plugs (on the harness), get nothing.

Should be the coil or fuse according to that though.....

check the small harness that goes from the top of the opti to the plug up near the pass. side valve cover. one of my cars was doing the exact same thing and it turned out that the plug that goes into the opti had corroded.. replaced it and car was fine..

Check out your coil wire on the opti end for corrosion. You could also check out the opti harness for corrosion too.
