Car stalls 3 seconds after it starts, valves set wrong?

Ok I put the LT4 heads and intake on, I am using 1.6 comp rr's with stcok lifters. I set preload to 1/2 turn.

I hear VERY loud ticking on the drivers side....sounds like one rocker. There WAS one rocker that 1/2 turn just didn't feel right on. The car acts like it wants to run but ticks and stumbles and dies in about 3-5 seconds later. Exhaust pops a little when it tried to run. I read the other posts about this and it seems I have them too loose, could just one loose rocker cause it not to run at all??

Should I go 3/4 turn?? If so, do I need to set from zero again or can I just spin the engine over until the vlaves are closed and add another 1/4 turn. I need to get the car ready for work tomorrow so I'll be standing by. My AIM name is bananapeelz28.

Thanks

a 1/4 turn may sometimes even be too much for certain combo's. I really dont have much experience with this, so I wont say more then what im sure of but ... I remeber being on here before and seeing a thread similar to this where a guy turned them 1/4 and the car wouldnt even try to start, he loosened them and it fired rite up.

Also, be sure you dont have an intake manifold leak. That could do it too.
