Car Stall/Extreme Cold Weather

Hey any of you guys in the northeast know what kinda weather we had the past few days, especially saturday night. Anyway, where I am it was 0* on the button.

I let the car warm up about a minute and then went along slowly. About 2-3 miles down the road when I came to a redlight the car actually stalled out. Also, when I got home, it had a low idle when I initially went into neutral, about 500 RPM. I tapped the throttle and it went/stayed back at normal. My car never stalled out before, would this be normal for extreme cold temps?

Engine Temp when it stalled was probably about 100-120*. Engine temp when I got home was about 165*, FYI.

I have a little theory on this...

I think it is the IAC. Since you and me have bypassed our TB of coolant, they will be cold as ****, of course since they are basically alienated from any heat once you start driving.

When I start my car after a 5*night i notice that if i give it a liitle rev, like up to 1.5k (far as i wanna go on that cold a motor) the rpms come back down super fast, like it wants to stall. Give it ten minutes to warm up, and boom works like normal.

But then again, these cars are so fickle it could be anything.

Wow..the TB bypass! I completely forgot about that! I never thought that might have played a factor..never really thought that air could be too cold for the engine (on planet earth).
