car sits for a while = white smoke coming out exhaust
Autozone sells some oil additives that may recondition the valve seals by sealing up the leak.
Also since it is getting colder out it is much easier to see water condensation then warmer weather. The rule is that white smoke that disapears is just water condensation. If it lingers around it would be oil.

Well, considering you're in Ohio, where it's dang cold right now, alot of it is probably the normal amount of steam you get in the cold days/mornings.
It sounds excessive though by the way you are describing it.
This might sound dumb, but was the sun out when this happened? If it was steam, it takes a little while to dissipate when there is no sun to burn it off, making it look more like smoke.

best way to solve this issue is, get behind the car near the tail pipes. Have someone start the car up. If it is oil dripping down, you will smell it. My car seems to have a bad valve seal or stem, and you can tell if you smell it. Your issue seems more like steam. I know when I start mine up here, (its been cold lately). It will blow the blue smoke from the valve seals going bad, and then it will let off almost no smoke. Once the motor starts to warm up, within the next couple of mins, you will see steam start to come out. And yes it looks like smoke. But then as it gets warmer, I will have water/liquid/condinsation drip from the tail pipes. That is totally normal. So if you smell burnt oil, then its your seals. Hope this helps. But try the test.
Yeah, you may have a small head gasket leak or something...is your coolant level going down any, or is there any oil in your coolant?
I was also thinking it could be fuel, like an injector hanging open on its seat a bit, but I don't think you could get that much smoke/fumes out of the injector and not notice the problem.
