car shutting off
car shutting off
HeY guys i have a problem. i just had hooker lt installed with trudual 3" on my 94z A4. We'll at time my car will shut off at light and when i pull in my driveway which is inclined. The car also keep pulling when Im making a complete stop. It has a little hesitation when i first give it gas then is fine in rpm's higher than 2,500. So what can be the problem not enough fuel or what. Could it also be my EGR?
Thanks

Re: car shutting off
Well, you said when you are stopped you car keeps on pulling. Next time it does that look at your temp. If it's in range of the operating temp then it's your O2 sensors. How I am so sure? Look at my Sig. My car does the same thing. When it's warmed up I'll stopped at the light the rpm niddle will start jumping and i either have to push the brake in harder or just simply drop it in neutral. If your car does this when it's cold then I have no Idea. Because our car's use the O2 sensors when they are warmed up. Well mine use to jump up to 2000 rpm range, then i changed the driver side O2 and it calmed down a bit. But can't change the passenger side because it's stuck. By the way it still has the stock manifolds. About the hesitation when was your last tune up? IMO i think it might be the O2 sensors. Yea check engine light isn't on, it isn't on in my car either. Either way that's my suggestion, good luck to you on fixing the problem.
Re: car shutting off
it might be the o2's like said i cut the wires and extended them to make them fit on the long tubes. Te ses light isn't on. That might be the problem as for tuned up i changed the plugs last month. I also want 2 know if i will need tuning now or if i can drive it with the stock program.
Thanks
