car shut down again
car shut down again
i have posted before about a possible vapor lock issues.this time when it shut down i un screwed the gas cap and the tank was hot almost to hot to touch.so when the car gets under half a tank and it is above 90 out side it will shut down.i had the fuel pump checked it flowed and kept pressure as it should.today i am going to be doing my rear brakes and i am going to pull that panel off in the wheel well and start to check things what should i look for or will i need to drop the tank
Re: car shut down again
i have the panel off in the wheel well what do i need to check.i have wrapped the fuel lines under the hood with a insulatur used on drag bikes to keep the lines cool along the heads
Re: car shut down again
While you have the wheel off, check the vacuum/pressure relief valve. It's the white plastic piece connected by a hose to the tank and snapped into the body just in front of the axle. If this is not relieving vacuum like it should, the fuel will have major problems.
Also the EVAP pressure control valve can cause poor idle or stalling. It's the valve near the evap canister with 3 hoses going to it.
