Car runs for about 30 min then dies
About two months ago my car randomly died out while sitting in traffic, no bogs no missfires No SES. It wouldn't start imeadiately, after a short while it started, and ran fine. Now it has started to do this more frequently, it seems like something is heating up after about 30 min, and forcing the car to die. After replacing most of the ign parts. This morning it left me on the highway, it started to miss ever so slightly then it got worse until it died. Not a massive breakup, just a steady miss then nothing. The check guages light comes on after it dies and wont go off until the car "cools" enough to start up again.
I've been searching for about two months, and the only similar problems all involve fuel pressure but Ive checked mine and the guage says its good. Can the pump overheat after that amount of time and cuase this to happen?
Please help becuase I'm lost, I dont want to get rid of it but w/school I don't really have time to work on it as much anymore.

I switched to the Delteq setup about a year ago, I havent had any trouble till now. I recently replaced the coils and module, along with a fresh opti, new plugs and wires, o2's. I wonder if the translator box is overheating, its on the head where the factory coil would go, but is spaced away from the head. I may be able to get a freescan datalog later I'll have to email it out though.

Had the same issue, opti only had ~300-600 miles on it. Fuel pressure was fine, no codes. Replaced everything else first before I even looked at the opti due to the fact that it was new. Turned out it was the god forsaken thing all along.
even brand new these things are junk. i had to build a good one out of 2 bad brand new ones.
I went out and started looking at the delteq translator box and found that the portion of the factory harness that used to connect to the factory coil is cut near the connectors and the portion of the delteq harness that goes between those two connectors was also cut deeply, after moving that portion of the harness around, the car started and when i moved it again it died out.
So where is a good place to get a pigtail for the factory coil connectors, and does anyone know/think delteq will sell me just one or two pieces of the intire harness?
If anybody knows the pn to the ribbon wire that goes from the oil mount to the body that would be greatly appreciated

Update: I dont have a data log but when the car dies out, and wont start, the desired idle is set to 3187 RPMs. When I try to reset it to something resonable using Freescan, a wirring noise (like an electric motor) starts coming from near the transmission. Any Ideas. Checked all wiring and have continuity, even when it wont start the opti is still putting out a signal. I'm going to call Delteq and try to test there opti box next.
