Car was running yesterday, but not today:(
Hey guys, I've been working all day on my car trying to figure this out. Yesterday the car was running ok so i took it for a drive, it was fine for about 10 mins then i noticed a hesitation. It only hesistated at cruising speeds. So i started scrolling through my scanmaster and saw the left o2 sensor was at a steady .300mv, while the right o2 was going up and down from .100mv -.800mv like its supposed too. So I drove the car back home, keeping it in the rpm range where it wouldn't hesitate fearing that is actually detonation from the bad o2 sensor. So i got 2 new 02 sensors, I know everyone says Bosch is bad but i just wanted to drive my car. I had to extend the wires because i have longtube headers. I replace them and i turn the key on and look at the o2 voltage without the car running, its around .400-.500mv when the car was off. and there was a DTC 64 Bank 2 (right) Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit (lean exhaust indicated) Bank 2 (right) Oxygen Sensor (O2S) Circuit (lean exhaust indicated). I tried to start it anyway, when it started the knock retard was going crazy on the scanmaster then it went to .03 and the car died. It smelled like gas so I took a look at the spark plugs and they were soaked with gas. So I replaced all the plugs and the car does the same thing.
My worst fear is that when the car started detonating that it damaged something, my oil doesn't smell like gas so I think it still has good compression. Anyone have any ideas?
Also this is a 383 with cc306 cam, TFS heads, stock opti, MSD blastercoil, MSD6AL box. I also got my cable for datamaster today so i can get a log going.

Re: Car was running yesterday, but not today:(
ok i fixed the knock retard problem, my serp belt was a bit too big and when it stretched a little the tensioner was hitting its farthest travel and was making a loud knocking noise, so i got a smaller belt. and i think because a tried to start it a few times while it was retarding the ignition i washed down the cylinders with gas, now my oil smells strong of gas. so i'm going to change the oil sunday.
now my question is, when i tried to hook up the cable from my laptop to the DLC, datamaster could not communicate with my PCM. Its a USB interface cable for a 95 F-Car, which i have. I set the vehicle type, and i checked the option for "Use USB serial interface" and i hit test and it says the cable is working correctly but my PCM may not be supported. all the drivers are installed as well, and its on COM5 and i set datamaster for COM5. i'm not sure what is going on, this is the first time i've tried this.
