car running weird.. urgent help needed

I got to leave for school at 5 so I need to figure this out, thanks to all who reply.

My check engine light has been coming on a lot recently. code scanner said it was the o2 sensors (open circuit) said it was the passenger side. The car ran fine until last weekend it would stutter whenever in low RPMS and it had a loss in power. I pulled out the whole loom containing those wires, found two burnt and replaced them.

The car ran okay at first but once warmed up it would sputter and lose power again. IT only seemed really evident in lockup when i was cruisin around 50 and the car seemed like it was trying to go faster but would just have little sputters.

Then the check engine light came on and it ran perfect again..

Im completely lost now

Check your wiring (make sure the wires are connected correctly, not reversed) and the new codes. It runs like junk when it heats up because it's going into closed loop and the PCM is looking at the engine sensors, O2's and the like (probably where your problem is). It runs better when the SES light comes because the PCM goes into limp mode and doesn't look at the O2's.

does ur scanner tell you the O2 values when running? If so check to see if the numbers are fluctuating like they should be, its most likely your O2 sensor that just needs to be replaced.. i had the same problem, sputtered, loss of power, bad fuel economy, running rich (could smell the raw fuel).

Pull the PCM fuse to clear all codes and then replace and restart the car. Monitor for new codes and let us know what they are. Are you sure you did a good job replacing the burnt wires?

i cut the burnt area out and used the same guage (18) wire to fill in the gap and soldered. I dont think there could be anything really wrong with the wiring job now.. I will try to pull the PCM fuse

I need to find someone local who can come scan it cause it runs like absolute hell i dont think i can drive it very far

im getting all the symptoms described above.. the o2 sensors were just replaced this summer tho so i wouldnt imagine it would be them going out already. The code that i got was right side o2 sensor open circuit... thats when i looked and found the wires that were burnt. Im not sure if the code now is the same one or not.. i would imagine so
