car running weird

well, I have put my long tubes in and ever since the car has been running kind of weird. None of the plug wires are touching headers,They are all new. I put new plugs in, and the car idles rough and has somewhat of a stumble to it. I have ordered a new coil and am going to change the fuel filter this week so maybe that will fix it. When the car was stock it ran a 14.1 at 96. After the headers and exhaust went in it ran a 14.5 . I know something is not right because my brothers 5.0 can keep up and he only has headers . Any suggestions?

well I plugged the wires back on the same spot on the opti that they were before if thats what you mean. The car idles kind of rough and stumbles a bit when just cruisin around.

Opti could be dieing on you, maybe you have a few wires crossing and they are arching off each other.

not sure but make sure all the header bolts are in all the way.

also dubble check the coil, and the wires

yes I pushed all the plug wires all the way on. Two of the plug wires are touching each other because I have them zip tied together, could that do it? Also, I ordered a new msd coil so I will see if that will fix it. Would the coil kill power and make the car run rough like that? The guy I bought the car from said he had just had the opti replaced by the pontiac dealership so hopefully it is not that, and that was last august. All the header bolts are super tight also. What about the fuel filter, if that is clogged up would that kill power and cause the car to stumble and act like it is missing?

undo the zip tie, with 2 wires toching like that the pulse could be transmitting into the other wire causeing it to fire

What kind of wires do you have dude? If they are MSD's i wouldnt worry about the wires... Unless when you took them off you Bent them in half.. That would cause exactly what your describing.. I dont know how to check that though...

just cheap advance auto parts wires. Plugs are bosch platinum 4s, so I cant really set the gap.
