Car running HOT...need suggestions

About a year and a half ago I put in a 160* thermo and programmed my fans to come on sooner.

Last summer the car never got above about 200* in the middle of the day in traffic with full AC. Now that it is hot again, its getting up to around 220-230 in traffic with full AC.

Also, I have noticed that after I drive the car at temps like that, the next morning, I will see a semi-small puddle of coolant in front of the Passenger front tire. Then when I go to start the car, the low coolant light stays on. Then i can drive for a minute or two, shut the car off, and the light is gone upon restart.

I flushed my coolant with new Dex-Cool (50/50 mix) using our machine at work. I checked all my coolant hoses for cracks/leaks. I verified that my fans are working correctly. I have a new overflow bottle, and new hose from the overflow to the radiator. I have a new coolant level sensor. I do not have any oil in my coolant, or any coolant in my oil. Other then the situation above, I have no leaks.

I am sort of at a loss. Everything seems to be functioning fine.

Really the only thing I can think of is that maybe my 160*thermo is stuck open...maybe.

I could really use some help/suggestions guys!

I am starting to get at this problem

Thanks!!

Did you bleed the system? Try that, and put in some red line water wetter.

If there is a puddle on the ground, there is a leak or it's overflowing after shut off. Rent a pressure tester to check it out. Have you replaced the radiator cap?
