car is running sluggish

My car has been running kinda slugish for the past couple weeks...i dont really know what's goin on with it...i thought it might have been some bad gas or something cuz it was kinda tryin to cut out when i floor it....it was showing some codes a couple months ago...the first one was the egr valve...so i replaced that....then it was the MAF so i cleaned it out with a rag and cleaned the throttle body and air filter and intake tubing best i could and the check engine light went off and hasn't come back on...i am thinkin it just needs a tune up but i am new to gm and dont really know what all needs to be replaced on it....and i cant afford to pay the dealership or something quicklube place 500 bux to do that ****...if yall have any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it...i am gettin pissed off at this i barely outran my buddy's V6 P.O.S. mustang today

somebody please help me!!

Change the cheap stuff first, especially change the fuel filter, your problems could be right there.

Cool

Next ,do a coil wire.Clean all the crap off the coil terminal itself with a wire brush. If that helps, then, learn how to do the plugs(cold engine only),and wires.Buy band aids.Hope this helps.

well i will give those things a shot on my next day off...i read on here somewhere that you can take a socket and just cut like 1/2" off it and it will do the same thing that that 20 dollar socket does from slp and makes changing your plugs a whole lot easier...what size socket do i need to get? and what are some good plugs...i have heard good things about nkg....what kind do i need to go with...i am planning on putting nitrous on sometime in the future but depending on finances i dont know when that will be...would it be feasable to go ahead with vr6's or do i need to get regular plugs then change them later on when i go to nitrous?
