Car running bad after plug and wire change

I replaced my plugs and was because my car was missing very badly it had stock old original spark plug wires. I got Taylors OTVC the kind you have to make (my freind who works at a stereo install place has been doing wires and stuff crimped them all for me)Iinstalled them and routed them. I also got stock A/C delcos didnt gap them just threw them in. Car runs and starts but misfires like crazy dont know whats up?

Or it at least sounds like what my car did when my opti totally died.

Make sure you rule out the wires before tearing out the opti. My elite wires work great in dry conditions and misfire and arc in wet conditions causing horrible misfires and engine stumble.

And why didnt you gap the plugs? You NEED to gap the plugs, the delcos can bounce around in the boxes and pretty much close the gap. You need a consistant gap throughout all the plugs or your engine wont run right, period. Pull the plugs and gap them, no if's ands or buts... just do it.

Re: Car running bad after plug and wire change

My car acted like that and it was because the #7 wire wasn't fully on the plug.

is there a way to test the OPTI and Coil. Can it just be the cap and rotor or the whole entire opti need to be replaced. What should I gap the spark plugs at?

Make sure wires aren't burnt... I burned a new wire right after startup when installing LT headers

No they are all good no burnt ends on the plug side would bundling the wires toghether with zip ties hurt them at all arching and what not.

I replaced them one by one as I got OTVC but I dont think that is it sound like V8 firing at idle no miss or stumble.
