I actually had this problem about 6 months ago. It ended up being the Thunderracing manual fan switch ( they had their own version and had problems so they ended up just selling the SLP switch)

Anyways i dumped that switch and got the SLP switch and never had it happen again....just a thought

Do you lose all the idiot lights and gauges when this happens? If so, it's probably the ignition switch.

Is the car down on power in general? Could be that your cats are getting clogged.

tthe car does it upon a rapid acceleration and while driving...its only happend 3 times in over a year and a half....some ppl told be things about loose spark plugs and ur battery cable rubbing on somthing and cousing a surge

actually the only light that comes on is the service engine soon light....but it goes off in a split second when i release the gas.....not long enought to store a code i guess b/c i have none getting picked up..

i dont have a fan switch

like i said no codes...idles good....car just does it whenever it feels like it when i decide to romp on it but only a once in a long time...and goes right back to normal as soon as i release the gas

my car has no power loss......it still throws u back in ur seat and acclerates great etc etc..........i will be getting LTs with highflow catted Y so il check on that anyways

strange huh???? anybody else

Same thing used to happen to me and it ended up being the Ignition Control Module (ICM). Might wanna check that out. I was trying to goose it to put a ricer in his place and my car just turned off...... The ICM was the culprit. Just my .02. Good luck man.
