installed new fuel pump and car wont start ive got spark and good fuel preasure motor just spins and spins no fuel getting in to injectors only have 70,000 miles on them and where working great before fuel pump install what should i got 20hrs on fuel pump install even put the old one back in to check for a bad pump help please 93 firebird

 

you should cut an access hatch it will make life much easier when you want to swap your fuel pump. It only took me 5 hrs to change my pump and 3 of those hrs were waiting for the glue to dry on the bucket.

 

I'm confused, you say you have good fuel pressure but no fuel to the injectors? What is the fuel pressure? Or do you mean the injectors are not opening? A quick test with a noid light will tell you if they are getting a signal. What happens when you squirt fuel directly in the intake while cranking the engine?

 

How do you know your getting fuel pressure, and where are you checking it. Last week I had a similar problem, but I had NO fuel pressure. Turned out the walbro was DOA(dead on arrival). When I pulled the tank back down I took the pump out and bench tested it(submerged ofcourse) and it was in fact dead. I sent it back to the vendor and got a new one, now everything is fine!

 

I've had the hose blow off of the new pump before but that wouldn't make any sense in this case. He says he has fuel pressure.
