Well, once again my car has something wrong. I have not had a chance to really look at it yet, since it is midnight, and either way I don't think I will know what it is. It makes a knocking sound at idle and under little acceleration. I have a six speed, and I think it might be a transmission problem, but trannys are one of my many weak areas when it comes to cars.
It seems like the sound is a lot louder in the car, and it is coming from the front, but I can't hear it standing next to the car. I think it might be in the tranny, since it already has problems, but I'm not sure. It is a fast knocking sound, but that is the only way I know to describe it. Any help is greatly appreciated, I will be under it tomorrow, but I hope to find a place to start from with what you guys say. Thanks.

 

Okay, I played with it a little bit, and the sound is definately coming from the engine. There also seems to be smoke coming from the edges of the hood for a shoft time after it idles for a minute. I have no idea what this could be, it just started out of nowhere. Anyone have an idea?
