I have a 97 a4 z28. My problem is that i am only spinning one wheel. I dont want a locker as a daily driver. Any suggestions on what to buy to get this thing to spin both wheels? Thanks fellows

Try changing the gear oil in the rear differential, sometimes the traction control just gets kinda crappy if the gear oil is old.

 

SLP has stock takeout posi units for $99 bux.

 

how many miles do you have on the rearend(car)? after plently of abused miles the stockers crap out. There is the slp diff's but, if you can buy a 9/12 bolt rearend you mostly liked would be putting a pernment end to your problem.

 

I wouldn't waste time on the stock unit. If it has anything over 70k, it's worn out. The cheap way out would be a stock replacement take off unit from SLP. For $99 you can't beat it. There are better units out there, but you will spend $300-500.

Tractech makes a new gear type Posi called the Detroit Trutrack, it won't wear out and is suposed to be much better than a clutch or cone type. It's pricey, but I'm gonna get one. Check it out HERE, it's near the bottom of the page.

 

Does the SLP takeoff burn two tires around corners or only straignt line?
