Car is not starting & throwing codes?????
I am wondering what would be causing my car not to start, it wants to start but isn't turning over.
the weird thing is that i went to start it in storage and it started right on the first try, yesterday and a week and a half ago. but yesterday i went over and started it and ran it around town quickly went back to where i store it turned it off and then tried to start it again and it didn't start. the last time i put a scan tool on it it was throwing two codes 36 and 41 i think. and some one told me that they were ignition and sensor codes. so i'm stumped here, i just put a new opti in two springs ago, plugs and wires last spring. so if anyone has an idea about what needs to be done to get the car started it would be great.
thanks
tim

Re: Car is not starting & throwing codes?????
36 is a problem with the high res feed back signal of the opti. Best to check the 4 pin connector at the opti, the one about 2 feet back from that and at the PCM.
41 is an open in the ignition control circuit from the PCM to the ICM. Check for corrosion at the ICM(white wire) and at the black PCM connector.
However, you should rescan it as the codes, if there are any present, may have changed.
