car not starting
I have read the posts done by people. I have seen no posts that really answer what they did that fixed the issue. Tons of recommendations, no answers.
I have a 1994 Z28 with 117000 miles on it. Aprroximately two weeks ago the car started surging and bucking at around 2500+ rpm. I had oil checked and changed, tires checked and did a tune up that consisted of MSD cap and rotor, plugs (ngk), acdelco coil pack, and taylor wires. I drove approximately two hours away from home with it seemingly driving fine and then it went into limp mode. I got it home and it was throwing a high resolution error. I assumed that the optispark now needed replaced so i bought a A1CArdone remanned one and put that in. I have spark, I have fuel pressure, I have starter cranking. What i dont have is a running car!
ANY IDEAS?

Are you 100%, ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that you aligned the splines on the Opti drive shaft correctly? And YES, is will go together incorrectly. Happens all the time.
Have you verified that the harness connector for the Opti is not corroded, and has no damaged pins?
Just curious... why would you change the oil and check the tires when the engine was "surging and bucking"?

walmart oil change
I had just had it in for a oil change and stuff was all. i didnt think it had anything to do with the surging. it is in shop now i will ask them in the morning. i worked on it for three weeks its my daily driver and i work four hours from where my house is so i havent seen the wife and kids in over three weeks. it sucks. So as far as the splines and corrosion not sure i will know more in the morning. And yes i know they can go on wrong because one of the first times i took it apart it got put in wrong.
