Car not always wanting to start...

Sometimes MY Formula just doesnt want to start... like it will make a really slow cranking sound, and sometimes when it finally starts it makes a loud screeching/scraping sound...And Last night when I was WOT racing I got tons of misfire!!! I say this because It sounded as IF I shifted into 3rd gear twice ...It was bad...But it doesnt necessarily always feel down on power...And another thing..It seems like my exhaust tone has changed a bit...Like im not firing all cylinders or something...

What should I check first here?

my charging system is 110% (I run an optima Redtop with a fresh alternator, fresh wires, ect.)

Its more in terms of not wanting to fire

I'm confused, are we talking about a cranking issue or a firing issue?

Here you say it cranks slow. Does it or not?

Also, a screeching sound when you crank it is usually from the starter not having been clearanced to the flywheel correctly. But if the screeching sound comes and goes, then it's a good chance you have a tooth problem on your flywheel. It will screech only when the broken tooth (teeth) on the flywheel are lined up with the starter.

I suggest you check the flywheel, All 153 teeth.
