Car making a fluttering sound through the rpm band???
It's a new motor(383) with a paxston on it. This is what I did.
by-passed the boost timming retard box just incase. The paxston unit has its own fuel system(super fueler). This is what happens. step on it and it makes a flutter sound out of the exhaust. Boost comes on and mid way through the band starts to loose boost and the car breaks up but will still pull to 6k. When I put the opti back on the car I spun the front wheel and could hear the brearings making noise. I told the guy he needed a new one, but he ran out of money. Mine did this when it failed. I think I remember hearing the same sound when mine was acting up. Im pretty sure the opti is finally going. The car has been breaking up up top which I think is due to spark failur, plus there is no msd box on the car, which I think it should have being SC.
Since this is a 9.1 motor, could I get rid of the boost timming box all together or leave it in there??

I would perhaps try this question in the Advanced Tech forum. I know I can't help you...but that forum is at least full of forced-induction gear heads who might be able to help a brotha out!
BTW--Just a lil' FYI; admins don't like TTT...especially 2 in a row. But, sometimes I know what it's like when you need an answer right now! Try them out. Good luck!
